Hi Feroz, the short answer is no, I'm not - but it's easier to rationalise that when the costs and space involved are so much lower than with a car! The 900 GTS is a revelation - a quick and noisy Ducati with a decent riding position and an electric start at a half-sensible price. An Italian R 90S, if you will

Incidentally, if anyone here is interested, my mate Del Mallett will sell you his one-owner from new, low mile Bimota DB1. It's been an ornament in his living room for about 25 years since we wheeled it in their while Carol, his wife, was away one weekend...
Fitted with Dymag wheels (still has the originals, though) and genuine one-owner. This is a pic of an identical example...

Compared to my Goldwing .... it's a lightweight at "only" about 300kg !!! Dropping it is not in the plan.

I could better that (but it would be showing off !!) What I think is the most famous racing motorcycle in the world !! ....J Dunlop winning TZ750 from his 1st IOM victory ..... in my living room (for about 6 or 8 weeks ...can't remember now .... circa 1980/ 81 /82 ??) Tis a long story - cheers Stormy.

ImageF. B. Mondial 200 Extra Lusso by Jon Hewitson, on Flickr

After seeing Graham's restoration on his Yamaha, I thought it might be time to share a picture of my 1954 F.B Mondial 200cc Extra Lusso. It has now done 2 Motogiros, and I have sent off my deposit for a third in May next year. It is quite quick for a small italian Giro bike, but as usual, buying it is one thing, making it run is another, and then getting it reliable enough to go 1000 miles in a week round Italy is quite another!

^^^Thanks!^^^ Its spread all over the garage in a million bits right now. I keep on making it better, then new problems show up, then I have to formulate a fix, then test... I limped it to the end of the last Motogiro in with oil leaks and gear selection problems. The crank case breather is a sprung flapper valve, which had become sticky, so that explains the leaking. The gear selection was due to the gearbox selector detent wearing down, it has always jumped out of 3rd gear, but the repeated jumping led to the pawls and ratchet going out of sequence with the selector mechanism, which meant engine out and everything out of the cases, which then revealed a whole load of other work. All the bearings were getting past it, but the roller big end was fine, and in getting the gearbox mainshaft bearing out of its carrier, I managed to crack the carrier! Spares availability is pretty much zero, so much fun is ensuing in putting it all back together again. It'll fix.
