Is'nt France a very civilised country, they have wine with their lunch and drive Le Mans Racers on public roads. Same happened here in Ireland during the Phoenix Park Races and often still does, the cars get a Garda Escort and outriders and are encouraged to give it a blast on their way from the Lord Mayor's Reception at the Mansion House to the track.
