Thankyou, I performed the surgery! it took some time to get the shell straight, and then get the panels aligned correctly on my body jig
A marker pen where you want the welds helps get everything looking right, when your concentrating on welding.

Fixed the irritating (and familiar) rattle in the driver's door this afternoon.
Felt good after a top-down run in the Boxster solo after a visit to the Docs about by knackered body...so did the job 2 x longer than I would have done it 12 months ago.

As expected, it was the bracketry at the bottom of the leading edge glass channel upright flapping loose.
'rattle rattle' bloody everywhere, but not now. All secure.

Off to watch the Porsche boys and the Lotos nutters at Shelsley Walsh on Sat so the trip should be much improved.

Wish I could find such an easy fix for all my joints!

I drove it! Went for another Saturday morning run and event with the local Porsche Drivers Norfolk group, this time to Ketteringham Hall (once home to Team Lotus). Lots of lovely models of our wonderful marque, although as normal the only 356. Looking forward to being with fellow ‘classics’ tomorrow at the Castle.

Did you have to cut your trip short Neil ?

I didn't think you were planning to be back yet.

Last hillclimb of 2022, and quite a day.
Thinking of doing a Year with Lola summary soon, a really good year.
Video clip here is of a very scruffy first run today, much improved this afternoon and a PB as a result! :alien:

See everyone told you to persevere during February and March this year, giving you encouragement and advice, when the towel was about to be thrown in............remember these comments????

I've never been in this 'trapped' situation before over anything.

Anyway, enough. :(

This project has been an utter disaster and that is my fault, choosing to do it. I really hoped it would be great, it is just ugly, and I need to change that.

The only aspect of this pantomime has been the superb support from DDK members and several other forums where this farce is copied.

What a crap project this has turned out to be.

A very nice drive out in the 914 to Leicester and back. Handbrake working but would be good if it came on sooner. New oil pressure gauge working.

Met Clive yesterday morning in Inveraray for a coffee and then for a lovely drive to Glencoe. Weather was fab but traffic was heavier than expected (holiday in the West of Scotland).

Enjoy Spa everyone!

That road to Glencoe is simply the best.
Going to miss it this year.

still haven't reorganised my delayed 2020 NC500 trip. Maybe next september after the kids go back to school, after driving Wales this weekend though its not fun being stuck behind a queue caused by a campervan
