Cheers Sam - looked at a few in there but missed that one.

For someone that plays with Boxsters for s***s and giggles, that looks surprisingly easy!

Replaced the upper steering column bearing, which I had 'repaired' in the past with one of the 928 repair sleeves but had finally given up the ghost.
Not too bad a job but I was lucky as the old bearing came out with the repair sleeve. One of those jobs I'd been putting off for ages and finally got round to.

I like how your rpm counter is rotated because when you race it will be mostly > 5k :)

I drove it!
Joined some likeminded people of R12 PCGB for a coffee and a chat. Then took it on for a blast up towards the coast to clear the cobwebs out from 6 months of hibernation. Perfect!

Trying to fix my handbrake on the 914. The medal handbrake is spread a bit and it appears that the teeth sometimes go side by side rather than intermeshing. I've tried applying heat and putting it together in a vice but it can still be there closer Image

Handbrake resprayed and back in. Working again (for now)!

Fresh wrap in the front of the car. We are rubbish at doing this but 'look good from far but far from good"

Nice one .
Most of the time I deploy it's good, but I think it could be better, it's normally followed by saying Ah bollox.

Spend a few hours on the Boxster and 911 to shine them up.

They get one waxing each year about now to get road and garage film off.

The Boxster needed a light clay bar on the flatter surfaces esp the bonnet. The number of stone marks and chips is alarming over the front end. Modern paint is not tough.
Autoglym products sure work.

The 911 came next and just needed a good wash and dry before waxing with resin polish. So smooth now it must be 10mph faster. Just one chip on the nose in 3 years and 2500 miles. 2K paint mind.

Looking good for the DDK meet up north on the 14 May with the Z lads.

Fitted the carbon fibre sound deadening holder-upper thing in the 964's engine bay. It's a tiny thing but it makes a massive difference to the appearance. Dropped two plastic nuts in the engine bay, though...

Great 'atmospheric' pictures of the old man Brendan (& his new car) ! ...
