Probably the same I should think. Delivered late 1970 T used in New Mexico, and had 5 speed and "Dunlop Tyres" options.

1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Went to the Footman James Chateau Impney Coffee and Chrome meeting this morning.
About 1000+ classics and a few moderns in a fabulous setting with the low sharp autumn sun flooding through the trees, really very nice. Bumped intoa few very old friends and some I first met at school in 1963.

Whilst 911hillclimber obviously went to a well attended meeting that can not be said for where I went!
Cars of the Cotswolds at the Motor Hub near Bibury. Fortunately it is not far from where I live and the roads are good for a sunny morning drive.
Very few older cars apart from my 1972 ST and overall not that well attended: probably less than 100 cars. Lots of 'willy waving' going on with modern F ( can't bring myself to type it), an Audi R8 V10 convention or so it seemed, a few Astons and sundry hot BMW and Audi saloon / hatch backs and the odd new Porsche. Not my scene really. Met up with a couple I have not seen for quite a few years which was a highlight.

I was instructed to park on the gravel near the entrance as I had something "more unusual". Left after less than 2 hours and had a nice round about drive back home.

The show is advertised on the FJ site.
You have to book the ticket, no cost, and you can get a token for a free bacon bap!
Numbers are restricted and 'sell' very fast, within the day or so.
Venue location varies, but all Midlands I think.

The variety was amazing.

1 VW Bus! (yes, just the one)
2 Beetles
A million TVR's all from 1985 on
A few Triumphs, a few MGB's (!), one Midget.
The rest were just from Marinas to Minis, to Stags, to TR, to early Escorts, a dozen or so MX5's and then just lots of nice old classics.
Hot rods a plenty (nice)
8 motorcycles.
No Alfas,
12 911's (!) or so, just 2 early cars.

Huge numbers of people, but nothing crowded. I have now seen a lot of classics, so will be missing out the coming National Classic Car Show at the NEC, first time since 1992.

At £32.5 each, plus parking, plus some food etc = £100, just not value for money imho.

Is it worth having a thread with forthcoming events, so people know about such are listed on it, so these are not missed??

Went down to Caffeine & Machine with my son. Packed yard of aircooled loveliness including two Singers. Met a old car with new owner and an old owner with new car! ;)

It is :)
I walked in and thought ‘there can be only one’

New owner is really happy with it, as you’d expect!
