Have used the car through out the winter (try to run it every 2-3 weeks) but have not cleaned it since last year, still looks ok in the sunshine though.

2.4s is just too slow compared to the gt3's etc .... I have no illusions that although an exciting car to drive, it's not modern quick. Not a big into Trackdays, always enjoyed a road trip more .... Although really enjoyed croft in my CSL last year

Just got some 205/60 tyres fitted to the 7R spec flat 6's that I sold to a friend of mine for his 1973 911T/E. Does anybody know if he'll need to run any spacers on the rear?

Great thread!
Finally found and bought some NOS cabriolet front quarterlights for the (stalled) Notchback project (they are the same). Other 356s are ready to go for the new year, all I need is some spare time.

7Rs need a spacer to clear the spring plate, which is why the 911R had slightly rolled rear wings to give enough clearance. Not a problem on the '73 car, though.

In the past when I've had 7R's on the rear of a lwb car I've had to use 15mm spacers (I prefer wheel adapters) - but the tyres were 215/60's - my guess is that he'll still need spacers but best to trial fit them & see if there are any clearance problems on the inside.

I went to the beach
The weather was great in London but by the time we got to the south coast it was dismal and freezing with the roof off.
But it was a fun day all the same

Today I did nothing to mine but the nice man at BD Engineering has been rebuilding my Dellortos with new needle valves and smaller chokes to increase airspeed and hopefully smooth out low rev stutters. Should be done early tomorrow with a new graph from the rolling road. 111bhp last time!
I put a new Huco rotary fuel pump on on Tuesday and have a starter relay to fit over the weekend. Then some topless driving I hope.

First proper drive of the year, drove down to Oulton park to watch the RS track day. Was very pleased to see so many early 911's. Great day out.
