Who did you use Ralph - Mick Beakhouse ?

.
Hi Andy,

I had Marco Warren from Juarez Fabrication in Lancing, West Sussex punch them. Superfast turn round, nice guy into Hot Rods and reasonably priced too.

Ralph.

It's a rare occurance but I have actually had 2 Porsche related experiences today!

I received in the post from Jim Tidwell in California one of his trick aluminium 'Clutch cable trunions' for the cable on the 1970 gearboxes which are meant to be far superior to the standard nylon part.

I have one of those, to fit when I'm in there at some point. Plus I had the upgraded bolt. Does that trunnion go into the hoop on the transmission side cover? My hoop is almost completely worn off so I plan to make a steel flange to insert under two of the cover bolts.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

No.

If you're worried about a headlight failing on your trip just buy/carry a spare sealed beam unit (lots of cheap options available).

Rob - it replaces the nylon part on the cable that pushes against the clutch fork.

Peddled the old 911 to Silverstone, parked up in the (full) PCGB arena.
About 20 early car, possibly a record?

Rand superb there and back despite 6 kamikaze idiots zig-zagging though the traffic/3 lanes on the M40 at 2 x the speed of all the other users. Utter pratts.
Nearly had one ramming the back of the 911, wife quite upset!

No pics of the car as you are all bored seeing it.

Tbh I was gutted when I realised I'd forgotten. :(

Memory like a sieve, me. I popped up there today and somebody mentioned it. Please with my progress on the car, though.

Just back from a sunny island. Chatsworth this weekend and 356 trip next weekend.

The no 1 rule of packing is that you will need whatever you don't take. Seal beam headlight hiding on the left
