I think TGH played with Hindley a bit yesterday. Once Dennis peeled off, TGH kept coming alongside and sitting really close to him. I think he could have gone through but I think was likely sending a “I’m still here, what have you got?” message, confident that he could take time out of him in the TT.

TGH ran about 80% of the TT “in the red” pushing out over 500w. (I learned something last week: 720-odd watts is “one horsepower”)

TGH was on the DDK equivalent for fixed wheel bikes as a teenager and was a regular on social rides around LDN. Skidding and trackstanding around our capital for the love of riding a bike.

Look where all that mucking about got him.

Wonderful stuff.

Watched the last TT what a great ride. Must admit I lost track a bit when the classics started. Team Sky++ another great rider. I wonder what this does for GT?

He sneaked up on that one didn't he. He should thank G for falling off. What a ride - what a geezer, chapeau!!

No one has enough time to thank the Welshman every time he falls off. You’d get nothing else done.

And to think, Froome is the one with the rep for not being a good bike handler.

Just remembering a friend who used to kick my ass on the local chain gangs but has passed away from cancer. Gary who ever much too strong for me.

The classics season has started and MVP has ignited the after burners

On another sad front the Team Sky doctor has been found guilty of order testosterone for a cyclist
