Looking for storage

Post by YeehafoofooMcgraw »

Hi

In an amazing lapse of planning and foresight I managed to buy a car that I have no room for. oops. So to accommodate the new car I have bought a new house, which would have been fine, but the garage and house, both need pulling down and rebuilding. This will not be completed until September 2014. So I still have more car than space.

Is there anyone out there that can store a car, in a clean safe and dry environment until next year, preferably in the East mids region?

I have looked at some car storage companies and the good ones seem to be based down south. I'd be happy to pay £20 per week.

Thanks for listening to my tale of woe.

Cheers

Jason

I stored one of my cars there a few years back. Good service, Alistair is an enthusiast, great to deal with and the premises met all my insurers’ requirements.

No affiliation just the right storage at the right time for me.

Neil Bainbridge has started a car storage facility at his site just outside Bicester. It's an extremely secure site and you have the benefit of it being attached to his workshop should you need work doing - or just want to look round the fabulous cars he usually has in the workshop.
Looks a little bit more than you were intending to pay, but it's a new venture for him, you are looking at longer term and I'm sure he'd do you a deal!

I've just emailed cevl for a quote for 4 winter months.
Their office is closed, but what costs approx could it be?

I have an exterior use Carcoon which seems to have started corrosion!
Last time i used it the discs were utterly rusted and i had to change them.

Thank you for your responses. I should have mentioned Leicestershire, rather than East Mids. I still don't have anything.

Jason,

Give me a PM. I can show you somewhere that fits your spec but not quite the price and somewhere else that fits the price but maybe not the spec. Having said that my 914 is in the second and rubs shoulders with an eclectic mix of drag racers, hot rods, Italian exotica, wedding cars, bikes and a good bunch of blokes.

Both are a few miles the other side of Kettering from 'Leicestershire'.
