I love my 1960 356B and have had lots done to it (floors,Gantspeed engine build etc) but don't laugh I have just had a tour of Northumberland in my finished Bugatti T35 replica.
What a blast loud, open top motoring and as much attention as the 356
Built on VW beetle chassis and running gear with lots of period items...outside hand brake,leather straps, P700 lights, mgb powdercoated wires,etc
356 engine build cost 12000 pounds + T35 Vw 1500 single port everything new parts 900 pounds
356 mpg 35+ 100 mph T35 38mpg + 100 mph (but scary on x plies !!!)
T35 no rust issues (quality fibreglass) all parts cheap...great fun.
Anybody want a 356 ? (joke!!)
