911 'S' on eBay

Post by J-Low »

Hi there...

Does anyone know this 1975 911'S' on eBay??

I have asked for photographs of the VIN numbers, & was told 'I have better things to do with my day'.
When I asked again (nicely) I was rebuffed with:

' It is very rare and, for the record, I am not a liar so if I say it has matching numbers then it does have matching numbers. I don't have to mess around with photographs'

I simply cannot be bothered with rude people. Does anyone else have any background on this?

Cheers,
Jude

This type of text in advert always rings alarm bells for me

"PLEASE DO NOT MAKE CONTACT UNLESS YOU ARE A SERIOUS BUYER, YOU KNOW WHICH MODEL THIS IS, AND YOU HAVE THE FUNDS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE - NO TIMEWASTERS, DREAMERS, TEST PILOTS OR TYRE KICKERS WILL BE ENTERTAINED,"
“A REMINDER. I would be grateful if those members who have borrowed bits from me in emergencies (e.g starter motor, oil cooler, etc) would return them and/or contact me”. – Chris Turner RIP

Truly appalling panels gaps all round
THIS CAR IS RIGHT HAND DRIVE, ONE OF ONLY 11 LEFT IN UK!
I have no idea how he/she knows that, but of so it's because all the others have rusted away. This car WILL be very rusty.

Oh, and why is he using the American definition of "vintage"? In this country it refers to cars made between 1919 and 1930

It also looks like the 'seller' might be using a friend's/girlfriend's ebay identity to sell the car (possibly to mask their own poorer feedback rating) - have a look at the typical previous sales items in their feedback.

Yup, his/her snippy replies to my otherwise perfectly normal questions was an obvious indicator that something isn't quite right about the whole thing....

Anyway, looking for a daily driver - 88/89 3.2 Carrera if anyone knows of a good one.....

Assuming it's the sellers girlfriend ID, she's sounds like a right goer with all those lingerie and stocking purchases/sales.

Might be worth viewing the car just to check her out.

Sorry for possibly being a bit sexist there.

The cars been on Ebay for a very long time although she has decided to relist with different photos (except the handbag shot!). The previous photos weren't very complimentary.
