So good friend printed the DDK web pages for my speedster build and bound them into a book with a slip cover. All in colours to match the car 8)
Nice...

.

What a great idea/gift.

Makes an excellent chronological history of the car's development/build.

Surely a money earner on here and a bit for ddk charity?
History of my 911 and Lola on here transposed to such a book for example?

Thanks for the comments guys. I think the book is a one off from my friend. Other printers maybe able to replicate, cost might be quite high.

The car passed its first MOT yesterday, followed by a very enjoyable 30 mile jaunt across country.

We set a base line on the tune on the oxygen analyser, after the 30 mile run the results were very similar.

What a fantastic Gift. Absolutely love that Greg.

What area have you got an issue with, regards to sealing if not already sorted.

Morning Rich,

Thanks for the comments.

Looking to seal around the doors to stop water and air ingress. The kit makes no allowance to insert any door seals. Looking for a soft aluminium carrier which I can insert a bubble seal and close the gap. I should have spent time before paint to solve the problem. I don't think any of the original seals would work. Any ideas?

Hi Rich,

I have not really got anything in place for door seals, so looking for bottom, front and rear sides, any ideas?

Replica Porsche Parts have some after market door seals that might do the trick

It looks as if they are primarily for additional sealing for the bottom of 356 doors so might work

Worth checking out their website

Regards Jeremy

Following many on here decided that I needed to get out and drive my speedster today. Bright sunny but cold. perfect conditions.

Started first time, now I know the technique, and set off. Covered both country roads and then steady blast down the A11 duel carriage way. First time on the A11. Seemed to be plagued by cars speeding up behind me then slowing down to pass, I guess all part of the fun.

I have started a shake down list but honestly mostly just small points to improve upon. Sure its not going to be quite like a 5 series BMW but who cares with an amazing exhaust note and induction roar.

My smile will last the rest of the day :)

Sounds like you are now at the fun stage of driving the car...braver man than me going out in near freezing conditions though.

Bootsy - you are welcome at any time

So a very cold to go topless, but I had the hardtop off to improve some of the sealing around the windscreen area
