Re: 930 Backdate
Lovely car John - hope I get the opportunity to see it before it goes (I won't be at CLM).
However, to 'buck the trend',there are a couple of things that I think 'jar' ...
The black/'highlighted' finish on the wheels doesn't work for me
The new stripes clash with the 'Carrera' side decals - I think the car looks better without them (the new stripes)
- but bearing in mind how perfect all of your other 'signature' touches have turned out it's probably just me ...
A wonderfully unique (& refreshingly individual) Porsche & a credit to your workmanship.

Re: 930 Backdate
Andy,
The wheels I'm happy with, but they were an item on the car that I swung back and forth with indecision trying to come up with some thing original (I even briefly considered a set of Magnus Walker wheels!) In the end I chose the Group4 wheels but didn't think a gold or silver finish would work...
The stripes I'm fairly sure I like but not 100% sure. I felt the rear of the car looked plain without something to break it up. Like so many things on the car they were an idea in my head which until I see it in reality can't be sure how it will come out. And for this reason I didn't paint them on! They will stay for now though.
BTW - people seem to be under the impression that I have built the car to sell, which is not my intention, it was built for me and unless someone one makes me a stupidly large offer it will stay with me, its taken over three years to find the time to complete it amongst customer cars and I can't face doing that again, and besides I've a 308GT4 to do next, I wonder how a hot rod would go down in the Ferrari world!
Cheers
Jon

Lovely car, moves the game on and is very different to those before it.
Certainly a keeper.

Looks cool as usual Jon. Love that luggage/wheel cover.
On the wheels/strips thing I'll reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh. It's a fantastic car with so many excellent individual touches

The simple things you see are all complicated

Awesome, only thing for me is that I think you should have put the same style Porsche decal that's on the roof on the side rather than the Carrera. Is it now a Porsche 930 Turbo RSR Carrera.

Simply a great car.
Those wheels remind me of the old JA Pierce cast rims of the 70s
Tad low in the front?

Looks great Jon, can't wait to see it next week.
There will be three green ducktails at the BBQ. Should make a pretty picture.
