There will be three green ducktails at the BBQ. Should make a pretty picture.

Re: 930 Backdate
Took the car into Centre Gravity yesterday,
Chris and Pete did their usual thorough job.
Final weight with a full tank 1165kgs, not bad when the original car weighed 1380kgs
Took the Fosse Way down to Banbury afterwards, a great drive on almost empty roads yesterday evening.

Love it Jon, looks great and looks like you made it to Lemans safe and sound.
Personally I like the front to back stripe, maybe cleaner without the Porsche font but whatever, there is no taking away from a stunning build! Even the front number plate is cool..reminds me of the small Swiss black plates
I showed the pics to some designery types at work...other than the car, they all geeked out on the radius corners of the stripe...its a weird world I live in.
Great work, look forward to reading the first road trip report...enjoy CLM, hope you don't need to heated seats
Chris

Cheers Chris, shame you can't be here, the weather is Sooo much better than last time! Car going great, seems to have gone down well lots of people I've never met wanting to talk about it. Seats and wheels provoking the most positive comments but then I guess strangers aren't likely to come over and tell you it's crap!
All good fun, I enjoyed doing it but also glad it's finished, as is my wife....
Now what's next.

Hi Jon,
Just wanted to say you have done a fantastic job. I stumbled across your car at Le Mans, and was actually directed here after posting a pic of it on my instagram. The level of detail is amazing, and I hope my RSR build comes out half as good

It's a car you have to see in the flesh. Actually looks better than in the pics imho. Sits really nice.
Chartreuse certainly was the most popular colour on this trip!

Re: 930 Backdate
Haha, yeah but I didn't drive all the way there, although my rental car was one of the absolute worst cars I have ever driven in my life. Why anyone would test drive an auto Fiat 500L and think, yeah that is great I will buy that, is beyond me.DustyM wrote:You had a long trip to CLM Jeff, I thought my 1435 mile round trip was far enough!

Hi Jeff,
Watched your Youtube films, excellent stuff. Always looking for a good restoration thread on here, with plenty of photo's. Your story would be worth documenting.

I already have threads on a couple of other forums, but I suppose starting one up on here would be good too.brembo wrote:Hi Jeff,

P.S. Sorry for the thread hijack, back to looking at more of this lovely green beast!
