I was going to go Portsmouth as it is 10mins down the road but it costs loads and as I might be taking two of my cars I think the tunnel. Is best

The campsite recommended to / by PCGB, how close to the Le Mans circuit is this?

The DDK trip seems to be

Newhaven - Dieppe on Thursday July 22nd, departing at 0730h, arriving Dieppe at 1230h (local time). Most will be returning Dieppe - Newhaven, departing at 1500h, Monday 26/7. Cost is about £91 with 2 people

I will be sorting out a route from Dieppe, with a lunch stop, to arrive at Le Mans at about 2000h, in daylight, to set up a DDK area in Maison Blance, which is, as far I know, the only campsite , €60. Camping must be booked individually through the organisers. (booking form on my website)

DDK BBQ on Saturday night. I will be looking for help to supply enough BBQs and organise food and beer locally.

PCGB members can book the following at discount

Entry tickets, including grandstand, paddock pass and club area €45

along with these benfits which are only available to Porsche Club members:
Parking in the Porsche enclosure €5
2 parade laps €100

I fecitiously posted the following on the PCGB forum
DDK will be having a BBQ on Saturday. You are welcome to join us. Dress is black tie, RSVP
Now someone has posted
Is that an open invitation?
Any opinions, assuming there is a donation by each person to the food kiity?

As long as they pay a joining the BBQ fee and a lot per hour they attend it sounds fine  They do realise this is a camp site though and not a hotel

Cheers Nick,

Has anyone heard anything from the French porsche club . . . I'm working off the assumption that as they extended the closing date to 30th April we won't hear anything till after this date . . . but could be worng.
