Silverstone Classic Sunday 28th

Post by MarkIII »

As I missed the Goodwood FOS weekend will definately be attending Silverstone next Sunday. would be great to meet up with fellow DDKers, is anyone going along ?

I know there are few people based in the south west so would be great to meet up and drive over early Sunday

Hey Darren, was thinking of an early start to hopefully miss the traffic. probably around 08:30ish so should get there around 09:30.

what do you think?

Hayley and I plan to set off early Sunday morning and drive down from the grim North in the 911.

If you see us.... we look like this..

If you're not to embarrassed to know people like this, shout at us and say hello. :)

I'm thinking that this 'Nine hundred and nine, 911' s' parade is going to take a whole load of hanging around and thumb twiddling... But I think it'll be worth every moment in the end. :)

Cheers, Mike.

If anyone wishes to celebrate/commiserate with me my car if going under the hammer at 3ish.

Either way I will be in the nearest bar just after but only buying drinks if it sells.

Hey Sam sorry to here your selling her, was hoping to spend some time around the auction, so might bump into you.

Any other takers for driving up to Silverstone early Sun morning from the south west, so far we have a convoy of myself and Darren.....

Hi Mark,

I think 8:30 might be just a tad tight with traffic…how about I get to you and we set off at 8:15 sharp?

Anyone else who wants to join us can meet up somewhere on route?

Ill be there Friday, late on the Saturday and the whole Sunday.

Thinking of leaving my car overnight on the infield parking: would that be deemed safe?

Was there yesterday and will be back tomorrow.

Its well worth it - make sure you make the trek to the wing - its a staggering show in the garages - and I do mean staggering

We were there today and will be back tomorrow. Spent two hours in the pits. Fantastic display of racing machines, all accessible, drivers and pit crew all friendly and helpfull. To see a 917 used as it should be was simply staggering. Seeing it started and warmed up in the pits was a bonus.

Great weekend despite the downpour late on Saturday that forced the cancelation of the Group C race .
Lots of snaps in no particular order ...
