Just managed to snap off my one of my Zenith 40TIN main jet holders whilst putting my carbs back together
Teach me to conduct delicate operations at 11:00pm after 3 cans of Bodingtons...
I can feel the straws being clutched at now, but does anyone have a spare? More than willing to offer hard cash.
Thanks from a muppet.

I learnt that lesson a long time ago, thats why I banned myself form going anyway near my car/workshop after even one drink. In fact this might explain why my cabrio is still not finshed after 6 years

I don't tend to post piccys of the car on 'public' forums as it is not quite finished & with the engine not installed the stance is wrong
:D
If you really want to see it I could mail you 1 or 2 piccys for your own personal use :D
If the right money is offered it is available
for the moment I have already posted these piccys

I too did exactly the same thing so I know exactly how you feel - but I was stone cold sober, so felt like a total clown !!! the jet carrier snapped in exactly the same place but mine was on the car at the time

, a little gentle drilling, lots of patient twiddling with a left handed tool combined with plenty of effin 'n' blindin and i finally got the piece out.
Anyway enough of that.......this is what you want to know, I bought a set of carbs from Barry and to get my car back on the road I have just swapped the jet & carrier until I have the time to put the Barry carbs on. The set that are on the car were only going to be kept for spares so...............I have a jet & carrier you can have.
pm me with your address details and I'll get it off to you tomorrow (Dont worry about funds mate it's fine, wouldnt say no to a pint if we ever hook up at a meet though, just don't offer to check anything on my car after

Good for you, Darren, I saw Gary's post and thought it was sod's law that I had just sold my spare carbs ....
The old cabrio is looking a bit special: like the airbrushed photographer on the door ...

Fantastic: how long 'til its on the road?

IF I pulled my finger out it could be on the road for April
But I tend to work at a very relaxed pace
