A Scottish DDK outing
Anything on the horizon??
I feel that my wee car would benefit from a drive with her Scottish cousins, she doesn't get to see any family members at all when out and about. Would love to have the pleasure and experience of sharing a journey with a few early 911's. Any thoughts anyone??

Re: A Scottish DDK outing
Margaret,
I would definitely be up for this, all a question of timing for me.
My car was picked up yesterday and taken to the bodyshop, hopefully I should be all done in two to three weeks.
Cheers

Re: A Scottish DDK outing
This would be nice,
Tom, Brendan is in the same position as you, but his engine was picked up two or three decades ago and should be ready in a few weeks
Margaret, do you think we should wait a week or two to see how Tom gets on with his car? It would be nice to get as many together as possible and I am sure Tom would appreciate the company of a convoy on his first long trip out.
West coast?
Overnight? Or single day with early start and lunch somewhere?
Mainland? Or ferry to an island?
Regards
Mike

Would it be rude to turn up in a slightly newer IB? Going to the shop at the end of the month for a couple of weeks for some fettling but will be ready to go mid June.

Of course!
We even allow Brendan to share in the fun in his 944! (his 911 will not be ready by June!)

Re: A Scottish DDK outing
Tom we would love to do another one of these but I really want to do it in my 911 rather than Sylvia or some other borrowed car! So I think it will be 2014 for this. Funny enough me and my beautiful wife have just decided that next year's summer holiday will be in Orkney and I think I will be taking the long way there in Honeydrummerboytom wrote:About time we had another DDK World tour of Scotland !

As for the DDK outing in June I was thinking of Sunday 23 June and perhaps an excursion into the Borders? What do others think?
