New Section to the Forum.....Other Classics?

Post by Mike »

Our esteemed leader seemed to think it a good idea, but just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

How about a new section to the forum for DDK'ers with other classic's as well as their Porsche's? A kind
of 'My Other Classic is...' or something along those lines. There seems to be quite a few of us with other
cars and it would be great to know more about them. I was thinking along the lines of Jonathan's E Type,
Andy Lightweight's Alfa and Jaspers Pagoda Merc for instance, and how many more have other oldies
squirreled away.

There was this thread on General Chat a while ago which brought quite a few out:

What do you think, could be an interesting new section and another excuse to spend even more time here.....
cheers, Mike.

There's lots of 'other cars' featured in the Member's Gallery so the plan would be to move them all over so we end up with a member's Porsche Gallery and a member's 'other' gallery.

I like the idea.

If you want to talk about Ferraris, Mike, why don't you just say so.

I think a new section would be a great idea.

Can we define "classic" to exclude Dolomites, Allegros and Bugs? :)

What, so it becomes a 'I'm considerably more wealthy than you' thread?

I would happily watch from a distance. Love pictures of older cars and following some of the stories.

Love to hear of someone having an Alfa T33 or the like.

All good.

I personally would welcome it, "my other old car is a ...." without defining old car at all.

I'm also ok with the whole scope of old classics, TR7's to Minors, less so with real hot rods (not the 911 type) because it makes me want to go back to them..

Can I talk about my Lola Porsche?

I guess as long as it is a car then fair dinkum.

As to this making me spend more time on DDK?
