Just so you know I have 20 of these wheels and have provided a picture of the AR sticker also..
on 911S registry.... 8)
That's great - I have never seen another with an ARE mounting sticker despite searching. Perhaps you could share a picture of one of your wheels?
Two posts and silence since. I really wanted to see the excess of 20 ARE rims in a regimentally straight line. Shame...

It's been over a year since I last updated this so it's long overdue.

Suspension and brakes are now on. Alloy callipers, Koni struts and an alloy crossmember on the front. Refurbished steel callipers on the rear with 24mm torsion bars.

The interior is coming together. Blacking done around the door cards ( I forgot previously ), rollcage, carpets and seats in. The handbrake, shifter and pedals have all been refurbished. Just the one piece kneebar, SWB rear view mirror and belts to fix in.

Updated pictures of under the bonnet.

The ARE Torq Thrusts are bolted up. The clearance looks ok and the nuts turned out the correct length.

Front and rear screens are in.

The gearbox has been checked over and looks fine (purchased as rebuilt years ago) and the 2.4E engine is with Jez being looked over too. The engine was rebuilt shortly after I got it and has never been run so hopefully nothing major will be required.

Let's hope that I will be driving in the summer!

Having read my first post again I have just realised that in a couple of weeks I will have owned the 911 for 19 years!

Can't wait to see this! 'Hot-rodded' hot-rod 911s (and, er, 912s...) are the future!

They are the 'BF Torino Safari Rally - G' from Mark Waring. Ideal for the driver with the larger backside!

Such a cool car - one of, if not my favorite build on DDK - even if it is approaching 20 years!

Another thing that I forgot to deal with prior to paint all those years ago was the rear wiper delete. The engine lid that I was using had the two holes just above the engine grille for the rear wiper. My thoughts were to fill the hole with a bolt and paint the head to match but Tim came up with a much better solution - he made two covers which simply attach with a nut on the underside and could be removed if required. Not as good as reworking the lid but not too bad?
