Well done that man! You do seem to have the knack of finding good condition and well priced tractors.

Re: Oooops, I just bought another!
Cheers Chris - nice and local too, my mate collected it for me on his way back from the corn mill!
I'll reserve judgement with condition - it's been recently restored (but now looks a bit tired in places) & there are lots of receipts for positive stuff like piston rings & a new exhaust but I've yet to get it started as it's been stood for a while.
I swapped the starter over from the A111 & next I'm gonna try the glow plug & glow plug indicator, it turns over but doesn't catch. Got the A111 starting like a beaut so hopefully it should go.
Does anyone know if there is a way of priming later P-D tractors? As the 109 is a 61 it doesn't have the priming lever on the pump like the A111.
This article says there is a method but isn't clear - I like pictures!

Hi Gill,
The 109 had a hex bolt head instead of the lever - the procedure is still the same just use a spanner as a lever to move backwards and forwards.

Re: Oooops, I just bought another!
Thanks Chris.
That's it then I'll give that a whirl. Just spent 100 quid at Jens Senger on a new pepper pot & glow plug as well.
Hopefully should get an hour on it this weekend so I may 'borrow' the pepper pot off the A111 see what happens.
How's yours coming on? The 109 was literally a few miles from the guy you bought your 108 off!
Gill.
