Thanks Gavin. Yes - although the plans for the car changed a gazillion times during the build, the concept remained the same - basic and pure.

It drives wonderfully and slips and slides with confidence on the greasy winter roads. Amazing fun.

Glad you got it sorted Jamie - I can imagine how that flaw on an otherwise perfect car would really niggle away at you. Great we have such a friendly, accomodating and ingenious bodywork specialist in the midst!

On another note - saw from another thread you're re-shipping - do we get any hints or will there be a big reveal?

Regards
Nathan

No big reveal. I applied for a visa to the US last year. You know, 2016 - back when Barack Obama was president.

The visa was approved in summer, a week after we discovered my girlfriend was pregnant. Wasn't banking on either, but somehow got both at the same time.

He's due next week. All being well, we hope to head over in April. Obviously going to send the car back over there too.

Oh yes I forgot you were looking at re-locating - automatically assumed you were shipping US to UK. Hope both deliveries go well mate.

I was under the wing with the air line, blowing air onto the back of the weld after each hit. Buzz bzz, tshchhh, bzz bzz, tshchhh, bzz bzz, tsssssschhhhh. Etc. Worked well. Neat welds helped!

...another warranty repair here when you have some time  .....we still have a little paint left and it would be nice to repaint the bowls too.

Look forward to hearing when your next major project arrives! :P

Wonderful.

Barry smiles when dancing with a belt sander, and looks 120 years old when posing!
Takes some thought and confidence and a magic wand to do this, great stuff to see.

Jamie, it's great to see you have fixed your headlight issue - it looks a scary process to fix.

There is nothing worse than having a small defect that really winds you up ( I'm sure I will introduce plenty into my rebuild  ).

Keep enjoying the car and good luck with imminent arrival!

If that's your chat up line in the clubs you at least need to change the order of the words. Try Name? Weight? Sex (please)?
