Sorry for the lapse in service since Monday night.

I'll let you know the exact reasons when I can but suffice to say after a lot of issues we have had to restore to the last back up point which was the early hours of Monday morning.

Therefore anything you posted (including PMS) on Monday has gone.

Sorry

However, hopefully normal service has resumed.

Thanks for your patience (and the 200 plus emails I received reporting the problem!) - nice to be wanted though.

Yes, GoDaddy experienced a major hack on Sunday.

Our problems don't seem connected in anyway as I don't host the forum with them.

I'm still trying to get to the bottom of what happened.

I think it was a big surge in Guests hitting the database and 'breaking' one of the database tables which after many attempts to repair was completely corrupt. Thus having to resort to restoring the latest clean back up version of it which was from early Monday morning.

I'm going to see if I can develop this 'restore' idea where you can go back to a point in time - may be handy for the ageing DDK massive.
