Recent posts elsewhere reveal that we are still working through some niggles with the car.

That process is all part of the ride, and something you have to accept when recommissioning a car after a full nut and bolt restoration.

I'm just back from France, where I put ~1500 miles on the clock and thought it worth posting a couple of shots here to remind myself that it's all worth it

Glad you got back OK James - the car looks lovely !

You need to change that registration number though - I thought you had something suitable already ?

Beautiful car James and lovely photos. I hope you got your door sorted.

Can I ask what your wheel arch ride height measurements are? Just curious

Regards
Mike

I managed a DIY fix in situ for the door lock, but it still needs sorting. Might need a new lock, we'll see...

As for ride heights, would really appreciate your advice :)

We have adjusted ride height three times and it's still not quite right.

To start with it was too high at the back, and really nose down (see the Spa photo which was September)

The car was lowered while it was at Canfords over the winter, and then it looked great but the rear tyre was rubbing the arches.

It was raised again last trip back to Bournemouth, but the tyre is still rubbing under hard cornering, and it's still a bnit nose down.

Do I need to borrow "the stick"?

Indeed I do - the car is now wearing another reg...
That provides an excuse for another photo, one that Feroz (yoda) can add to his collection
Will post in a day or two.

James

Obviously I was looking at the spa photo which you say was before adjusting. It looks to have a little too much rake.

The 'stick' is always available!

I have lots of pictures of your car James but trust me, you don't want to see them

I can probably help with your ride height though, it should probably look something like this 8) My rears had rubbed on the arches at some stage but it was lifted about 1 cm and has been fine since.
