Hi all,

£10k for 10 years is a great initiative. Now, I have raided the shed and came up with some parts. Now, for the steering wheels I asked Andy (Lightweight_911) to value them and I'll use his prices as a benchmark. As a purchaser you will donate 10% towards the fund with a minumum of £10. In other words, you pay me 90% of the price, the 10% will go towards the £10k for 10 years fund.

1. A Grant Prototipo, dated 11/79, black spokes, 350mm. It uses the rarer 5 lug hub, whereas the momo prototipo uses the 6 lug hub. The 5 lug hub is difficult to find, hence the lower price. I'd personally hang it on your study or garage wall.

Andy's valuation: £100. so, £90 for me or whatever you offer me, and the remaining 10% to the fund.

2. Momo Prototipo, not dated, silver spokes, 350mmSOLD

3. a 911 R type steering wheel, 370mm SOLD
difference between 370 and 350mm:

5. A Momo hub and horn button for a 1976 Porsche 911: I had it on the '83 turbo and subsequently on the '76 C3 but I went back to the standard wheels for "that feeling". The indicator cancelling ring is not in the picture but I have one spare. I just note that one screw is missing: it is in the garage.
£40, with 10% to go to the fund please.

6. A continental Premium Sport contact tyre, size 225/50/16 as per the 7 or 8 x 16 inch fuchs. Hardly used, about 5 to 6 mm (estimation: a new tyre has 7mm) tread left.

New one is listed as £117 onthe http://www.mytyres.co.uk site, so revised price £35 ono? Again, 10% to go to the fund please.

I have loads more of bits and bobs but it is a start.

Thank in advance for your reactions.

The Abarth style steering wheel is sold, pending funds. Thank you.

If everyone is doing their job, it'll make it on the drive from the south to the Lake District, planned for this weekend.

:)

Just a quick note to indicate that the momo with silver spokes is sold to a Staffs based ddk-er, who initially contacted me via Impact bumpers.

Whilst he got me down on the purchase price   , he agreed to make a generous donation of £100 to the DDK fund :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

For that, Rainer A, you will have my utmost gratitude and respect.

Thank you. It is on its way, but yodel didn't show up on Friday so we re-booked with Hermes. I will send you the tracking number etc per pm.

Kind regards,

Bert
