DDK 10K for 10 Years - Charity Auction & Group Discount : CG-Lock

Hopefully this will be of interest to a few of you & at the same time earn a little bit extra for the DDK 10K for 10 years Charity Pot 8)

Just to note, I have no affiliation with the company. I'm a very happy customer :)

Not sure if anyone has heard about CG-locks ? I hadn't until I started searching for something to help with some lower back pain I've been having recently. It was then I heard on other Porche forums about the CG-Locks :) In addition to claiming to help with seat posture, it has the benefit of holding you in place when 'performance' driving ;)

I bought one last week & have been really impressed. It allows you to adjust the lap belt portion & keep it locked in that position .. bit like harnesses , but allowing the remainder of the seat belt to act normally. So far I am feeling a lot more 'fixed' in my seat and can already feel I keeping my seating posture as opposed to slipping down in the seat & curving my spine .

fitting is straight forward, requiring you to clamp the device to your seat belt tongue.

Anyway, the purpose of this thread ;) ..... a few emails later & I have organised a DDK group buy , which means we can buy them for £34.99 instead of the usual £49.99.

Additionally, CG-Lock have donated a brand new CG-Lock for DDK to auction off to the highest bidder ... all the money going to our charity. I will start this auction in a post below :)

I thought, if anyone was wanting to purchase a CG-Lock at the discounted price, they might consider donating a portion of their saving to the charity fund ? I will start a new thread on the CG lock group buy later with details of the discount code. :) If you are desperate to order one now, pm me & I'll let you know the discount code ;)

So in Summary :

1. Auction for one CG-Lock

2. Anyone purchasing as CG-Lock at the discounted rate might consider donating a portion of their saving to the charity fund

Finishes tomorrow night ;)

As an update, I've done a few more miles in my Turbo with this CG-Lock fitted & I'm really liking it. Used to get out of the car with a lower back ache ... now I'm actually having my pelvis held in place I'm not getting the ache .. wether this is to do with posture or me not having to stain my back muscle to keep me in place I don't know.

Once auction finishes I'll put details of the group buy discount up :)

More likely more miles in the Turbo equates to fewer miles on the Rourke, hence the relief?

;) .. you not far off the mark there .. am getting ache in my lower left back when on the bike, usually starts around an hour into the ride :( As soon as I'm off the bike my back feels almost 'improved :? Think it's more to do with lack of core strength . Still can't find my legs for proper long rides in the hills though
