Classic Le Mans Commemorative Grille Badge

Post by Ferry Man »

OK the time for ideas, feedback and suggestions is over.
Time to step up to the plate.
And here’s the first.

Wouldn’t you love a grille badge like this?

Well you could display one with pride.

This is it, your chance to buy a collectable grille badge.
I’ve produced a batch of just 50 badges to celebrate DDK’s trip to Classic Le Mans.
As there will probably be in excess of 75 cars going you’re gonna need to move fast to secure one of these special pieces. There will be no more manufactured. Never.

Each badge will cost £35 + £5 for next-day delivery. A total of £40.
I will donate £15 for every badge sold to the ‘£10k for 10years’ appeal.
Hopefully we can raise £750! Or more.

Please send payments for the badges direct to me. Once I have fulfilled all orders I will forward a single payment of the total donation to the ‘justgiving’ site Tom has set up.

You can pay for the badges by PayPal to the following email address:
prmadden 'at' btinternet dot com (you can work out how that should be typed)

Or send a cheque made payable to: Paul Madden
Hart Press, Unit 11, Redfields Park, Fleet, Hampshire, GU52 0RD.

Kindly indicate along with payment your name & delivery address and your forum name.

UK deliveries will be sent via a next-day courier service and will require a signature. It may help to indicate a work address (where someone will be there to accept) or, if you wish, I can send by straightforward Royal Mail post (but then won’t be able to track the consignment in case of any difficulties). If you order from overseas you can expect the same price but with no guarantee of next-day delivery.

I hope this offer will be well subscribed and I predict that demand will exceed supplies.
Therefore I ask that you indicate your intent to buy in this thread.
I will try and fulfil orders in that sequence. But if you drag your heels on payment and hordes of other generous buyers are waiting, you could miss out.

Installation advice (thanks go to James, Hot66 & Helen): Please be careful when fitting them, don't keep winding in the threaded bar so it pushes against the back of the badge causing the mounts to snap off. Try locking the threaded bar into the badge first, then just tighten up using the supplied nuts (without the threaded bar turning). Finger tight will probably suffice to secure them to the grille. If you over tighten with a spanner it’s possible to break them (or bend your grille). We know you’re strong, but try care and sensitivity when affixing your badge. You may also wish to consider putting something between the back of the badge and the grill to stop any marks being left on your grill when the badge is removed. Your warranty expires the minute I get your money.

Very nice, Paul. Sadly not attending so won't stand in the way of someone who is. If I was going however I would have been happy to pay much more for such a lovely limited edition.

50 x £100 = £5,000 straight off.

C'mon chaps - it's for Macmillan!!!
