It was only a few days ago and I was thanking everybody for putting us over £15,000 - well another couple of initiatives and a kind 'top up' donation has put us onto £16,000. Really appreciated. £20,000 by the end of the year? I think so!

Donations continue to come in.
Money raised from keyring sales, donations for parts/tickets/favours
And sometimes 'just because' - thanks Keith. Having read about poor Helen it's a poignant donation.
Couple of initiatives brewing so let's try and hit that £20k mark and continue to tell cancer to f*** off

Kind donations of parts, books and initiatives such as the key rings means the money is still trickling in.
Really appreciated

Several DDKers have helped me on my recent search for a 914.
The depth of the knowledge pool here, and others' unending willingness to help out fellow members never ceases to amaze.
This post is to highlight a special mention for Wayne Eason (rhd racer). Wayne truly went above and beyond yesterday:
With no notice, he took a day off work and drove a 420 mile roundtrip with trailer Newark - Southampton - South London - Newark, just to help me get my car home from the docks.
And his only complaint? That the 11hrs on the road yesterday left him with "an arse shaped like a Passat seat".
Maintaining the DDK spirit, he turned down the offer of money for fuel, and asked instead that I donate it to the DDK charity.
So today I have bumped the cost of a tank of diesel into the justgiving account.
You are a legend Wayne.
