OK -

I've had about a hundred goes at getting this right from onedrive - which is a great system and going to be around for a very long time..... Microsoft are now betting their future on cloud computing, so this will work.

First you need a onedrive account :-) easy to get and sign-up for

I have all my photos automatically uploaded from my iphone anyway - I don't use the apple cloud - it's expensive and it has had security issues in the past.

When you have done that and have your photos on onedrive, there is quite an easy way for you to post - it does take a couple of steps, but hopefully this will help.....

Have a look at this page which also has a helpful tutorial video attached: https://www.ski.com.au/xf/threads/how-t ... ive.77234/

So - a couple of things:

1) You can't do this from your OneDrive app either on your phone or your pc - it has to be done via OneDrive directly accessed from a website https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-us/

2) When you follow the steps in the video to get the image code, it shows a different forum software to ours it terms of how you embed the image on the site. There are a couple of things extra we need to do on here because of our forum software. These are:

a) do not tick the box for html code
b) choose the size you want (large seems to work quite well)
c) Copy the code that's generated in the box on the onedrive site
d) paste the code into your 'reply' box on the forum
e) add image tags around it like this:

At the front of the code you must type [img] with no spaces after these 5 characters and the start of the pasted code

and at the back end of the code you must type

[/img] That backslash is really important....and again, no spaces between the end of the code and your bracket

That should do it. I'm going to give it a go to see if this works.

Guys,

Keith needs a slap on the back for a great answer!! I have not posted a photo since the problem of Photobucket asking for subscription.

So try this:

log on to www.postimg.org

When that comes up read and agree to conditions

Then enter your e-mail address and choose a jpg photo you have on your computer file.

After clicking that a box will show up with options for the photo I chose hot link for forums and it gives a size and the reference for photo highlight that box and then click copy.

Go DDK open the area you want to post the pic in write your comment then on the top ddk address bar click the IMG box

Then move the curser down to the place you want to enter the photo and click paste in the box.

Click send and the photo should be shown on in the thread you have sent.

Postimage will also advise they are sending you a password.

All this is from one go took me 2 minutes hope its correct Keith would know!! My memory is getting old like me!!

Just a note for those using Flickr (me!) they are changing the 'Free' account limit to 1000 photos on January 8th.

If you have more (like me with 3700+) then you need to go pro or download the lot and host them elsewhere.

Pro costs £50 a year, so I'm currently balancing the hassle of downloading and hosting 3700 photos on my own server or just going with it.

I'm probably going to end up going for the Pro option as I can't bring myself to rebuild my 'members cars' thread again having only just redone it when Photobucket went wrong!
