Hi Phil,

Quite possibly a Mac software issue rather than Photobucket.

I've found I can no longer drag straight from iPhoto to Photoshop with the latest Mac software. Instead I drag the photos to a different folder first and then into Photoshop.

I always save photos to a different folder after I've resized them and then load from this folder to Photobucket and never have an issue.
I've always found that resizing and then using the option of 'saving for web' helps load the photos quickly into Photobucket. This also helps download speeds for those viewing the photos.

I would try saving your photos to a seperate folder and then drag them to Photobucket from this location rather than iPhoto and see if that does the trick.

Cheers,

Darren, take a look in iPhoto settings, as you can choose for the 'Edit' button to open photos directly in Photoshop rather than using the iPhoto edit tools (at least on the version I use)

I got sick of Photobucket too.

Try Flickr. Much nicer. :)

if you use Tapatalk on a mobile device, you can host the photos on that. Makes it dead simple

Anyone use Picasa? It's been superceeded by Google pics which I can't convince to give me a file link, it just provides a web URL. It works as a clickable link, but not an inline image. Anyone know how to solve this (other than change to flickr)?

Just checked the help forum and it's not supported. Would seem quite an important feature, but I suspect that the enumber of people that submit photos to forums is miniscule compared to social media.

Off to Flickr we go!

Another vote for Flickr.
In case it helps, and because some folk have asked about it, and since I posted this elsewhere so am just cutting and pasting:

Pic posting instructions (Flickr specific):

1) View photo in Flickr.

2) Note the "share" icon bottom-right (looks like the "forward" icon in mail apps etc):

Image

3) Click on the share icon. From the available options choose BBCode and the size you prefer:

Image

4) Copy the BBCode and paste into your DDK post.

Done!

Technical note: BBCode image tags are just like HTML tags but with the tags enclosed by square brackets [ ] not < >.

That only works with a computer, but not using an App sadly.

I've put a request into the Flickr system for an app upgrade to let you grab the link. Maybe if a few more did so they may consider it?
