Close but you doubled up on your IMG tags - if you copy the IMG code from Photobucket you can paste it straight into a thread.

No ! managed to drop a link in, but not a photo. some sites like Dropbox just don't let you do this.

Drop box is storing your images rather than hosting them isn't it? You need to use a picture hosting facility or upload them to a server so you have an address for the image.

So I come from a Pelican and Early S environment, and when I click on "manage attachments" it brings up a box that will allow me to browse...when I click on browse it gives me the option to click on libraries, then pictures, then select picture and then click the button that allows me to open the picture...and then upload. So I guess all my pictures are in my library which means they are on my hard drive. I don't use flicker or dropbox as I never had to. Can you guide me through how to pull pictures off my hard drive?

You need to upload to a photo hosting site like photo bucket for example.

Then , once the photo is uploaded , each photo has its own individual code generated, which you can copy and paste into a Ddk thread

You need to use a photo hosting site such as Photobox

Pelican runs on a host of their own servers as its a commercial operation - DDK doesn't and when I turned on the ability to upload images as a last resort too many people were uploading large image files and it slowed the server and increased running costs

Therefore you will need a photo hosting site I'm afraid

I simply cannot upload photos from iphotos on a mac to photobucket any more. Even a single photo take ages to do anything at all and then it gets to 90% complete and hangs between "90% complete" and "connecting".

I used to be able to do it by the export facility on iphotos and then by drag and drop, but nothing works now....

Anyone have any ideas or a different hosting site they can recommend?
