DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

Probably one of the best-known 356s in the UK (for all kinds of reasons!), Del's 'Streamliner' 356 coupe was stolen last night from his house in Farnham.

It is chassis number11176 – a Reutter-bodied 1952 coupe modified with full Le Mans-style fender skirts all round, louvred rear quarter window inserts, through the bonnet fuel filler, etc. The Police haven't even come round to see him – they say there's nothing they can do but hope it gets picked up the the ANPR cameras (what a f+++++g joke). It's probably on a boat, or on a remote farm, but it will resurface sometime, surely?

It disappeared sometime between 9.00pm Monday night and 8.00am Tuesday morning (today).

Unbelievable!! you wonder why you pay your taxes when in the hour of need the police couldn’t give a sh*t.
I bet if you stole the value of the car from the state the police would be interested then.

I hope Delwym gets his Porsche back.

Stolen to order for some murky hidden collection in a far away land would be my thoughts.

This car is far to distinctive to have a quick blow over, new VIN and back on the market.

Pro theft surely, probably been casing the place for weeks. Horrible thought but I bet it's long gone, doubt the police can do jack sh*t and they know it.

Let's hope his insurers don't try and wriggle out of a payout.

That assumes he's actually got a gun anyway, which they could find out in seconds.

posted on facebook; i have a few friends local-ish to this guys house who work weird shifts..

hopefully they find it and string the perp's up, but my guess is (as others have said) it was stolen to order and is long gone.. b@$7ards
