And a very very generous one. More than worth any headaches!

A huge thank you to Eve and of course Mike and Brendan.

The DDK member's generosity and community spirit continues to touch me daily.

Thanks for bumping this thread though, Wow!
All happened before I joined DDK, so have just spent the last three hours glued to reading it.
Well done Mike and Brendan.

Thanks Tim

Glad you enjoyed the read. I'm sure there will be more to come as the restoration takes shape.

Mike

James, the car is being unveiled to the public, along with the background/history/restoration details, at a location in Europe in early December. Brendan and I have been kindly invited to the event and we are really looking forward to seeing the finished job which by all accounts is amazing. Many of the ‘cross-over’ details from swb to lwb have been preserved and documented keeping this unique 911 as near to its original conception as possible. The restorer is very knowledgeable and has had a lovely attention/respect to preserve as many of these details as possible. If you know what you are looking for Eve is a blueprint for the way the factory were thinking at this watershed moment in the 911 history both in terms of body shell construction and mechanical development.

I’m sure we will report on the launch with more photos.
There might even be a book eventually.

Regards
Mike

I saw it a Gary Cook’s a couple of months ago when they were doing the photoshoot for this magazine. Looked very nice.
