It's an EMPI VSR – one is still in action today in historic races in the USA. Yes, on a VW floorpan. 8)

Amazed it can actually move. If I remember correctly they had a 197cc motorbike engine. The best part is it had a kickstart like a motorbike. Lift the lid at the front and stick your favourite kickstart leg inside and .......

Good grief, those were the days!
Guess would be '73. Not sure when Wolfrace Slot-Mags came about but I had some early ones in 74 on my Y Type Ford hot rod.
There were so many of the above all over England at the time.

On a different chord, just finished my 1938 Royal Enfield Model L bike, a real oily-rag 'rebuild', but has been quite a challenge all the same.
Test ride when dry.

.

I was sorting through some old photos/papers yesterday & came across these - the inaugural meeting of the GP Spyder owners' club which I set up in ~1985.

I think it was the National Kit Car Show at Newark - but it might have been Stoneleigh - all I remember is that the weather was horrendous driving up the M1 from London !

Oddly, I was the only person who built their car in LHD - I've never understood why people build Spyder (or Speedster) replicas in RHD format ...
