Peloponnesian War?
maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

I'm guessing you are up high, bugger all snow most places. For those that know the area, there is a a VERY nice Gulf blue 912 hot rod on display outside a bar on the col between Meribel and Les Menuires. Accessible by Tougnete 2 or St Martin Express. Bon ski!

I was fortunate enough to be walking across the track as it happened; we had gone in early on the Sunday morning so my wife could go to the mass that was held in the infield and because there were only a few people around they let us cross the track rather than take the tunnel....it was a bit of an Alain de Cadenet moment (google him and Spifire).

The Facebook posting says it was on the first day of the Revival but pretty sure it was on the Sunday.

There were a series of framed prints done of that photo, keep promising myself to get one but not found one yet.
