Ha! Thought I'd missed an important factor out.

Had a tidy of the Big Shed to find some race car bits, but also to get the fleet of bikes in.

Had a quick ride on each:
Austin Seven, Single speed Royal Enfield, 1938
Triumph Herald, 4 speed Humber, 1948
Porsche 911. 8 speed silky smooth Giant cross-over, about 1995
Talk about a contrasting ride with each.

Whoa there are some special details on that! Porthole rear windows in a transit van in 1970 yes, but the rear doors of a Maxi?!!

And retro fit crotch coolers - no problem Sir!

I 'grew up' with the Austin A 70 Hereford - I passed my driving test in my father's car - and I am puzzled by the bodywork on this car. To the rear of the B pillar, the body work seems to have been much modified. Does anybody have any ideas?

Looks like an estate car conversion. However, there was a 'Countryman' version offered by the factory, and the likes of Abbott's just up the road in Farnham would carry out such conversions on just about anything.
