Got the toys out at work today. This building used to be a machine shop that made Merlin engines, then the main Rolls engine machine shop, then was my office for a good few years and now has been opened back up to house our heritage fleet. Great use of a heritage building :)

Apparently the Toyota 3.5 V6 ListerBell sounds better than the Alfa Busso which might have some Alfista spitting out their coffee.

I have been trying to order a Lister Bell since 2018, initially there were some delays with Brexit and certification for EU but then they changed from listerbell to LB specialists and now this is what they are sticking to over the past 3 years.
..."Due to the unprecedented demand we have experienced for the STR our orderbook will unfortunately remain closed for the immediate future. Despite the combined efforts of Covid and Brexit we are back in work and fully operational but it will take time to work through the backlog.
Please do not contact us for pricing at this point in time as we cannot guarantee any prices until the supply chain for materials has stabilised.

Whilst we are now accepting visitors it is better for us if these appointments are limited to existing and confirmed customers only to help us concentrate on production rather than future sales.

That situation won’t have been helped by Johnny smiths interview with that supercar owner who was raving about his. Nice interview and seemed a nice guy. Think he said it’s the one car he would keep (one of the others was a carrera GT)
