East African Safari - "Historic" Rally

8 Days of serious rallying - + a rest day in the middle - Longest stage 154.44 km (96.5 miles !!) , and I thought a 22 miler on the Isle of Man was good !!!
Total competitive distance 1248miles + probably same again linking stages.

From memory 21 Porsche 911's taking part ... yet the event (this or the original one) has never been won by a 911 !!
Suspect this year might change that.
Started today at 6am local time ..... I will follow with interest :)

N. Ireland man (err ... boy ??) now in the navigating seat , and up to 17th overall at last stop (after 4 days !!) .... I reckon a top ten will be close if cool is kept ?
