Ihave a knowledgable friend/mechanic in Stratford upon Avon but (Hendrik ?) do we have any sympathethic specialists in Yorkshire or parts/services suppliers for future reference ?

Recent good purchase on Ebay...3 new unfitted Firestone 165/80r15 @ 65 pounds all in ..

Hi Kev,

Not really any specialists in Yorkshire. I have tended to use a local VW mechanic I have known for many years if I can't do it myself. If it's major then the car goes to PR Services. I get most of my parts from them too now.

Come to the curry meet next Wednesday! I'm hoping to be there, although probably in a modern.
