Looks great, would be good to see some proper pictures of the finished car. Good effort!

Sean - yep I'm going to sell it once finished i've other Porsche projects that I'm working on and want to invest some money into the 550 Spyder business i've started. It's a pity it has to go because it does look beautiful.

I'll wait until the car is completly finished then get it photographed properly, the interior is very tasty as is the rest of the car - very pleased with the quality of work done.

What is the heat exchanger/silencer make and model you've used there redrobin911 ? And is it set up for the street or track (ie is it LOUD) ??

Hi Robin !

I hope you are well, you were kind enough to give me some advice a long while back after we became aquainted through my friend Colin from whom you bought his red SC.
Thats a great project going on, love the wheels, image are great guys ! may I ask where you sourced those brake calipers and who is undertaking the work ? nice to see your still involved, pm me if you prefer.....

Kind regards Gavin

Hi Colin - the calipers came from Andy at R-to-RSR and are the same as Tuttill's - I suggest that you contact them both for the "best price" then you can decide where to buy, another option is an AP solution from Dominic at SVP nr. Droitwich - I've seen it and looks very tasty also. Disc's are (or should/need to be) std. Porsche size both in diameter and thickness so you can buy them from any source - Eurocarparts -Porsche OEM - or other. I have a couple of guys that I use for restoration and rebuild and are both in NI and if you need names and numbers can pass that on to you as well as other contacts should you need them. Thx for your kind words re the restoration and yes the RSR looks great -I would really like to keep it!!

Can believe how long it's been since I posted on this topic - work has got in the way, the 65 race taking way much more time than anticipated and the poor old RSR had to take a back seat - well not anymore.

I had it MOT's 6 weeks ago and have been doing some road test and now happy with the way the car drives which by the way is highly impressive (under 1000kgs) and big tyres - 240bhp - this car is huge fun. Anyways beside my work place is a car body shop so had it in there to respray the bonnet as it had glazed slightly.

Pics below show the car as of today - hope you like them.

Re: 3.2 Carrera to '73 RSR - last post

My 911 RSR rep is now sold and the new owner collecting the car tomorrow and returning it back to UK mainland. I've enjoyed building this car as much as I have driving especially over the last month on the 1800 mile Porsche Club Ireland Wild Atlantic Way adventure. The car never missed a beat - but did manage to scrub a set of tyres on account of some spirited driving......

If money was no object I'd keep it, but with a deposit paid on a 67S 911 you gotta do what you gotta do and something has to go. Wishing the new owner all the best and hoping he has as much enjoyment from the car as I have.

Still looks the dogs two round..............time for a last pic...
