Pictures of my Black Targa

Post by Lightweight_911 »

I realised that I haven't posted any pictures of my RS-engined Targa since it arrived in the UK so here are a few (mediocre ones) until I get some better ones.

Just a brief reminder of the spec:

All servicing/maintenance & upgrades carried out by Andial :

2.7 RS engine (911/83 unit from '74 2.7 Euro Carrera 210bhp)
Rebuilt 915 gearbox with new ZF 8:31 lsd
Bilsteins F&R with S brakes
New Weltmeister adjustable front & RS rear antiroll bars
New Turbo tie-rods
26mm rear torsion bars
Deep dish 6"x15" polished/clear-coated Fuchs with 205/55 ZR Dunlops (Fr)
911R 7"x15" polished/clear-coated Fuchs with 225/50 ZR Dunlops (Rear)
Lowered F&R ride height

Uprated Targe

Stunning looking car, must shift too!

I was advised not to upgrade the suspension of my Targa with Bilsteins and stiffer bars because the body lacks the rigidity to cope, compared to a coupe.

What's your view, and your experience with the stiffer setup?
