Irish rally driver

Hello There
Does anyone recall a Irish rally driver from the 70's called Patrick Ross from County Down he drove a SWB T.

No , but if I see Dessie McCartney / Mervyn Johnston tomorrow at Circuit of Ireland recce sign on ... I will ask . (he can't have been quick !!

Of course Cortina, Easter Weekend... Circuit of Ireland Rally. That brings back memories...Rosemary Smith, Roger Clarke, Billy Coleman, Cahal Curley and not forgetting the Lancia Stratos!

Spoke to Dessie McC today - he drew a blank too ... between us we could think of at least 9 names rallying 911's in those days .... Irish - none even similar to what you are looking for.
I thought T/E/S only came into being with LWB models ? ... shows how much I know !!
(Are you 100% sure of name ? ....... visualise (probably wrongly !!) where you are going with this .... "he" won't like it !!

I did a search of my mid to late 70s CoI and Ulster programmes, and there was no sign of a Patrick Ross in any sort of car. Like Alan and Dessie, not a name I recognise.

I wonder if he had someone else driving it, the reg is IIA977
and acording to the log book it was light ivory thats all I have to go on.
