Roger is such a hoot – we had a great laugh there. And here's another of your mad friends in a slightly smokey 914 (go to 2m 20secs)

First tentative run of the weekend. Managed to improve by 8 seconds by the end of play.

A local company said a 911 they painted after it was dipped rotted within a year or two from the inside out. I guess the insides of the sills either didn't get repainted or some residual chemicals were left in there. When I saw him jetwashing the chemicals off the outside I could see how that would happen.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.
