Thought you might like to see a few Porsche's that went through Bonhams auction today.
Not many Porsche's on show but overall quite an interesting mix of cars were on offer....

This was a 1956 Speedster. Not matching numbers but in very good order.
Estimated at £100,000-£120,000. Proved to be a no sale (bid up to £85,000).

Mike.
Camaros are at the more affordable end on vintage Heuers although that one is an 18k gold case so value goes up a fair bit. Plus the 3 register movement (Valjoux 72) makes it more desirable. Couple of thousand upwards for a gold but that one will probably fetch a fair bit more.

Something for the kids this Christmas? (I mean the car in the foreground).

This went for £7,000 - if I recollect correctly .

Paul bought me a very nice luncheon in a country pub just outside Cobham before we went to the auction. Thank you! There were a few cars that I was interested in from the brochure, but they turned out to be pretty poor in the flesh. One was a 1971 300SE convetible, that really needed a full restoration, so wasn't viable at mid twenties, the other was an Aston DB4 in bits, needing a VERY full resto, from memory it went for over £45K (I wrote down all the prices, but gave the catalogue to Paul).

A very pleasant place for an auction, all the previous Bonhams auctions that I have been to have been to before have been in big tents, so either very muddy, or very hot. The only problem here was the long walk in the very cold weather from the car park.
