road registration

Post by hot66 »

Hi

I know with UK tractors this is possible via the vintage tractor clubs, but with imported euro ones, has everyone been succesfull registering their tractors for road use without any original docs ?

Would be useful to know as I'm starting my search for a new toy ;) .... and if I can't get a Porsche road registered it might have to be a Fordson Dexta

Crispin has just registered his with no problems - apart from tricky questions about whether it is RHD or LHD etc.......

I was assuming it's no more complicated than registering a road car...fingers crossed that's the case!

I'm with you on that Ian, except I don't have any paperwork for mine.

I have spoken with dvla and they gave me forms to fill in, and said that they would need some kind of verification from a/the club ref year of manufacture etc.

Have spoken with John Hearn about this and he's more that happy to help.

the quest for a starter motor continues, the one bought from German Ebay is wrong--it's for a junior. :(

The one I (think!!) need is EJD 1,8/12 L57 this is what Crispin has on his and it looks right for me.

I will actually need 2 as Dave Hilton's new toy doesn't have one either.

cheers

How much is it worth for me to sneak into Poltimore with a lump of steak for Woody and a couple of 17mm spanners? :bom:
