Yes its Tony , as experienced in these models as anyone out there ..................dont know the car ,when i asked he assured me what u see is what u get ..........................do rememeber where its come from [ country of origin!]

traditionally Italian cars have been some of the better ones .... although the Italians are not shy of slapping a bit of paint on. Without seeing the car it's difficult to tell, but at that price it seems a bit of a bargain ( assuming the body is solid) as it appears to leave you with a massive slush fund ( relative to market value of known tidy 2.4S's ) to play with to sort out any problems.

Tony said very little welding, if any, mostly original panels .....

From past experience, keep fit windows and basic seats very normal for Eu cars at that time..............

As to your implied question in the thread heading...its hard to call without a good old look over the car. If the ever present corrosion is not too bad after 10 years in the UK then will not be a money pit unless you do what Helen did with hers....

I think this car turned up to one or two Fairmile meets... in 2005.
Owned by Simon, who wrote a couple of articles in P&911World before vanishing.
Car seemed pretty good then - very original, but some detailing needed - but then again that was 5 yrs ago!

I've seen this car on a number of occassions as it has been sat in that field for at least 2 years when I've been over to see Mike Holloway (who operates out of an adjacent facility and has done lots of work on my car).

Its an Italian S. The body work repairs were done by Mike Holloway to a great standard - and, as you can see, it has had a full repaint. It does look nice - but the interior still isn't great.

It has also been fettled by RPM in Cheddington (I think they did some detail finishing to the engine, wheels etc).

I suspect all parties are owed some money by the owner - yet it has taken all this time for him to reduce the asking price ! I don't think its been driven in that time either!

This has been at just under £50k for along time.
I also think it may have originally been ivory white.
But hey a 2.4S for £40k that just had work done lets put this into the context of what they fetch these days. Just my opinion.

The engine has a problem in one of the cylinders, i would of thought around £15k was the right price at the moment.if you are not in a rush hold tight as there will be quite a few 911 t/e & s coming to the market place and will be correctly priced.
