Awesome John. That quick drive you took both myself and Shelly on gave great inspiration, as others have said your car feels very tight, goes like hell and not a rattle.... You are so modest and matter of fact, truly a great car and informative thread (I keep looking up bits for my resto)....Well done!!!!!!!

Quick question for you - would a UK RHD 1970 911E always have a smooth front bumper or would they have ever been fitted with over riders?

Mmm good question, my car was delivered to Switzerland and the original (I think) bumper showed no sign of having over riders. It seems some cars had them and others didn't. It may depend on the country the car was delivered too.

Not much help I am afraid maybe Andy could shed some light on this?

It's weird and I've no idea how it happened but I totally missed this thread John. Just read it from start to finish over the last few hours. Absolutely fantastic work and an amazing result.

He also has big credits in my rebuild too. If it hadn't been for John it wouldn't have cared me apart and it deffo wouldnt have gone back together.....
