THAT ORANGE 2.8RSR REP - FOR SALE

Flirted with this idea before I went on holiday 3-4 weeks ago for a couple of days then withdrew it while I was away.
Well i'm back today and going to flirt with it a bit more.
Don't want to sell the car. Don't need to sell the car.
BUT I have an opportunity to build something myself with my very good friend Chris Nielsen over in Seattle and the finished product will be extremely similar to this. Being part of something I have built or helped in building has been a dream of mine for a long time and the learning process has huge appeal to me as I'm a mechanical dumbo. The dilema I face is what do I do when the new car is finished? Which do i keep as both would be a bit silly and I've bought some others so space will become an issue?
To this end I'm going to consider removing the dilema by selling my baby and then concentrating my efforts and maybe going a bit more wild with the spec of the new project.
If the car doesn't sell then I won't be shedding any tears
Ok here goes....
2.8RSR Replica
This car was built by Chris Nielsen in Seattle USA following purchase by myself in late 2007. Throughout 2008 Chris finished the car to my specification and then following import I had the car completely reprayed by my bodyshop and did some final touches – finishing stripping the interior and fitting the new seats etc etc.
Chris is extremely well known in the USA for his builds. His ST replica was critically acclaimed (and is still one of the best pre-impact bumper cars I have ever driven) and was featured in Excellence magazine:

He then built an RGruppe 67R type car that was the subject of a 25 page+ thread on Pelican:

The car finally featured on the cover of 911 & Porsche World in August 2009:

Chris knows his stuff when it comes to early cars. (I don't but I'm learning fast!)
The RSR was actually Chris’s daily car for the last 20 years. He maintained it from college and throughout his adult life and it comes with 20 years of receipts and information spanning two ring binders. A lot of work was done by Chris but all of the mechanical work and engine work was done by his mechanic Bernie, who is a long term race engineer working on race 935s, 917s, 910s etc so is very experienced!
My RSR was featured in a write up in January 2009 edition of GT Purely Porsche, if you happen to have a copy.
The car’s basic specification is as follows:
Original 70E chassis
Solid body, no rust
Full recent bare metal respray
Very nice steel 73 RSR bodywork utilising GT Racing fiberglass flares to retain correct RSR profile. Applied with the strongest airline epoxy and with no problems with delamination
Professionally removed rain gutters with correct welding repairs
Factory 9x15 fuchs on the front and very nicely widened 11x15 fuchs for the rear
Reasonably new expensive period look Michelin TB15 tyres all round
Brakes are Hurst Airheart aluminum 4 piston calipers. That is an older american racing caliper from NASCAR. Similar in size and look to RSR calipers and bolt straight on and fit under the 15” wheels without issue. Oh and they really make the car STOP!
Full 3.2 Carrera suspension with 22/28mm hollow torsion bars and Bilstein sport shocks.
3.0litre SC engine bored out to 3.2 and breathed on by Bernie with various race like improvements. It has the big port heads, 3.3L crank and rods with 3.2 pistons. Webcam 20/21 40mm cams and SSI's. Fully rebuilt, detailed and professionally rebushed throttle shafts etc etc. Not had it on a rolling road yet but believe me its QUICK.
Sport muffler....hand built for more correct look
Front mounted oil cooler with braided lines and factory side lines
915 transmission with LSD (factory)
Sachs sport clutch
RSR steering wheel
Newly refurbished gauges with 10,000 rpm and 300kmh tach
