10th Porsche RS Trackday (photographs)
It was the tenth anniversary of the Porsche RS track day at Oulton Park this year. This event is THE best track day of the year at probably the best circuit in the country. If you like any of the Porsche Rennsport products then you'll marvel at the selection on display (and being used as intended). Admittedly much of the content was later cars than we're used to here but there was plenty of interesting air-cooled cars attending. Quite a few DDK'ers too...

Excellent pics Paul...somehow you always seem to get great shots from a point and shoot camera!
sorry I missed you at the end to say goodbye -...the brief little 'tussle' with you in the afternoon was great fun - your car can certainly shift - though I put it down to an overweight passenger (and driver) dragging down my lap times
There certainly was some quick machinery out there. We need an early cars version

Vic Cohen (993 Cup), Paul (ST rep) and I (993), traveled up in convoy and stayed in a lovely local pub on both Thursday and Friday night (in separate rooms ) which makes the event very relaxed.
The Tangerine 3.0 RSR belongs to Paul Howells (another DDKer) and I got a fabulous ride in it towards the end of the day on a virtually empty track.
The Lime Green 2.8 RSR rep sadly didn't make the track, failing the 105 dB noise limit at 112 dB!

Yes, I believe that first time out it was 116db.nick-moss wrote: The Lime Green 2.8 RSR rep sadly didn't make the track, failing the 105 dB noise limit at 112 dB!
Shame it couldn't get on track, it's a lovely car.
I was asked if I could lend my exhaust...

Oulton Park is a fantastic circuit.sladey wrote:That's a long trip for you isn't it Paul?l
Could do with being in Surrey though.
I reckon I did 250 miles there, 200? on track, then 250 miles back. I must have filled the car with petrol about 4 times. And it's a big tank.
