I've had a number of Porsches over the years and still have a 356 and an early 911 - I've never had a 914 and feel I should try one - any opinions on this car would be welcome please

Seems like a peach. Bodywork looks A1, has all the right add-ons like suspension, brakes etc, engine sounds like it's good. Well worth at least a test drive and an experienced eye-over in person if you're serious. Nice ones like that don't seem to come up that often. If you're going to look' see make sure you know where to look for the usual metal rot areas, as nice as it is from the pics it could be a rusty old lump underneath.

Such a nice car, someone on here should at least have the inside knowledge on it.

Good luck.

you wouldn't build it for that!

I'm in love !!!

If only I had a time machine and could take this back 3 years when I bought/built mine. Looks great and could have saved me 3 times this cost.

If I hadn't bought an early 911 in August then I'd be tempted myself.

You kept that one pretty quiet Andrew unless I missed a few posts at some point! Is it a project or all up together if there is such a thing? Any pics?

Hi All,

Only time i saw this car was at the 914 International in Deauville many years ago (2004?). It looked superb then - if it is still in the same condition well worth a look as the conversion had certainly been done very well.

regards
Rob

I think this is the one Crispin did a lot of work on last year at Oak Tree Garage.

It needs a close look before getting toooo excited about it..............

I don't know what was done to it, but you could try Crispin on 01395 568498.
It didn't look as tidy back then as the photos seem to show now.

I wouldn't have swapped..............

Cheers

I always wondered what happened to this car, I thought it was really nice -I think this pic was taken at a TIPEC event but couldn't say which year

Price looks a bit high compared with this one

Which sold at a little under £14k a few months ago. I know because I asked before I embarked upon converting my car.

I really like Andy's car and couldn't believe it didn't sell quicker. There were a couple of prospective buyers I know kicking themselves after it had gone.

The blue car is a very different beast through with that spec list. You would have to spend a lot of money on Andy's car to get the street racer spec of the blue one. Just depends on whether that is the spec you want.

Yes I was one of them!

Point taken about mods on the blue car so I retract my comment.

Looks like a very interesting car and worth a viewing.

Give the owner Tom a call. Very nice chap - been off the seen for a number of years, may have an email address for him somewhere.
